I and my bff will visit NYC this coming April and this is very informative and helpful! Thank you!!!!
As of 2022, admissions prices have gone up by a few dollars since this video.
Iâm a native NYâer and The Edge is by far the best.
OMage, not HOmage
Hi!! Is there a video on like where is the best mall in NYC or best place to do grocery shopping. in terms of pricing?
No Vanderbilt Summit?
I remember with the Empire State Building you can see Yankee Stadium (at least the old one.)
Iâm planning my first trip to New York!! This helps a lot!! Iâm so excited
Talking about the building itself (instead of including an antenna), the tallest building in the western hemisphere is Central park tower. Its roofline is a hefty 55 meters higher than One WTC.
If the Twins are still there ohh thats the real deal
I like watching these cuz I live here and I can do them at my leisure
The Edge!
$72.00 to go to the 102nd floor of the ESB??? No way!
Iâve only done One World Trade (I go every year old 9/11) and The Edge. One thing you left out about the Edge is that if you have an Equinox membership you can go for free 6am Wednesdays for their Edge Yoga class.
The Twin Towers were the best. Too bad NYC isn't the same without them.
I've been to all of them. #1 is the new Vanderbilt. However, Barr does not mention the roof top of the Met Museum of Art. Open during good weather. Great view overlooking Central Park. Can see Empire State etc. Good benefit when viewing museum. Thats my secret NYC tip.
Vanderbilt hands down is the best, however if you just want a good view I would go with the Rock.
the summit is better ?,im about to buy tickets, so hard to decide
Cool reviews i wish 9/11 hadn't happened, i always wanted to stand on the roof of one of those towers, but one WTC looks alright the Empire State i'd visit too
Amazing đ¤Š
Itâs funny because I grew up in Queens, and when I lived there I barely knew the city. But, now that I no longer live there I visit NY quite often, and I actually do all the touristy stuff, so now I actually know the city more than I ever have. Sometimes, I go back for weeks and months at a time. I love my city.
Just came back from NYC and The Summit just took #1. Amazing experience. Glass room, glass box, glass elevator, and much more.
I'm going there for my birthday
Original 2WTC and Complex will forever beat any other buildings in nyc !
Summit one Vanderbuilt hands down the most beautiful, fun exciting Bldg in NYC. Safe coved test required, itâs more then a Bldg itâs an experience. Also easy to get to everyone can get to Grand Central just take the shuttle. Feeling very safe. Canât think of a con.
We went to Top of the Rock, like you suggested and it was EXACTLY as you described! You ROCK. Love your channel and your accurate descriptions and commentary!
The WTC is only the tallest building in the west hemisphere because of the spire the building is only 417m much shorter than other buildings in NY not that tall at all . The old WTC was taller by 3 m !!!
Thank u. Soooo beautiful
I did top of the rock and one World Trade Center. Both were cool .
8:29 Ahh yes, it gives me vibes about the Twin Towers Walk
An informative, dispassionately non-committal, lucid comparison! It is so gratifying that 1, World Trade Canter is exactly 1776 feet tall ! One suggestion: Why not give, in addition to the brilliant narration, some pointers on the nearest accessible NYC MTA Subway-Stations / MTA Bus Stations ? Thanks and BRAVO for a wonderful guidance! Please keep up the Goodđ Work!
Tough choices đŹ LOVE THEM ALL
City Services Building / American International Building / AIB – 70 Pine Street – the glass top and elevator does a Transformers transformation as the cab actually goes through the floor. At ground level, mini versions of the building in the doorway
1. Rockefeller center
2. The Edge
3. World Trade
4. Empire State Building
5. Statue of Liberty(crown)
Been to 3. Empire State, 30 Hudson yards and WTC 1. All have cool sights of the city and different parts of the city too. I liked all 3, want to do top of the rock next.
I was wondering why the summit wasnât on here then I see when it was created, you really did your homework man
I've been to every skydeck in this video except the empire state building, Imao Edge skydeck is my favorite and Top of the Rock is my least favorite
Btw, I neglected to mention that One WTCâs ROOF height is 1,368 feet.
By ROOF height, One WTC is NOT the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. In fact, it isnât even the tallest building in Manhattan. By ROOF height, there are THREE taller buildings on the island. 432 Park Avenue, 111 West 57th Street and Central Park Tower are all taller.
Central Park Tower is 1,550 ft tall to itâs roof, making it nearly 200 hundred ft taller than One WTC and it is Central Park Tower which is truly the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. It took the title from Chicagoâs iconic Sears (aka Willis) Tower, which stands 1,450 ft tall.
The only reason One WTC is listed at 1,776 ft is because of the antenna, which also is supposed to be a spire, that they stuck on itâs roof.
So, in the future, you might want to incluse buildings ROOF heights when listing how tall they REALLY are.
The Best was the original Twin Towers observatory.
This will have to be updated once Summit One Vanderbilt opens. Should be interesting to see if that beats out The Edge.
The best is from an airplane seat as I'm moving out of liberal New York.
I recommend the ESB an hour before it closes. Crowds are pretty tame. I love the ESB because they have done a great job of making you feel like you have stepped back into the 1930s. I do love 30 Rock too, I just wish you had a better view of the Chrysler building. I've never been to the Edge. I'll check it out soon.
Honestly, the best observation deck in the US was the last floor from the South Tower of the WTC
